Where Is The Heart of America (HOA) Region Located?

The Heart Of America Region Of USAV Covers The Western Half Of Missouri And All Of Kansas.

Prospective Officials Living Near The Borders Of HOA May Choose To Register In HOA.

Requirements

  • Pass a USAV Background Screen
  • Complete Safesport Course
  • Complete Online Officiating Courses
  • Attend Introductory Zoom Meeting
  • Attend & Pass an In-Person Rating Event

Compensation & Uniforms

  • New officials start at $32/match
  • Officials wear white, cyan, or grey Certified Volleyball Official Polos
  • Officials wear navy slacks
  • Officials wear white shoes & socks

A Typical Tournament Day

  • Matches are either 2 sets to 25, best of 3 to 25 with the third to 15, or 3 sets to 25 (unusual pool of three)
  • Expected arrival: 7:15am
  • Typical Saturday play is from 8am until 6-7pm, Sunday play is from 8am until 4 or 5pm
  • Expect to work 6-8 matches on a Saturday and 4-6 matches on a Sunday
